I'm an artist, so being able to post from my PC is really convenient. But with the updates, I can't post anything at all. The direct messaging is more difficult now, and the previous DM feature was much easier to navigate through. I have a few accounts, and I'm no longer able to switch between accounts. Now I have to sign out and sign back in of each one, so that feature was very convenient as well.

It's unfortunate that there's no way for users to choose to keep the previous version of the app, or opt out of the updated one.

Bro just change it back to the way it was. Now I don't even know how to make a post. Looks like the Instagram app for Windows 10 is abandonware.

A shame. Luckily you can have a great experience on a browser. Just sign into your account on your browser of choice and enable notifications. I'll revise this if there is an update bringing it up to par with the other versions. Essentially, all the features that made it somewhat viable to use in lieu of a phone before were removed and now it is just the website version that is really stripped down.

Before, I had desktop notifications, I could post from my laptop, and looking at stories I could use my touchscreen exactly like my phone swiping thru someone's post with multiple photos. None of that exists anymore. It's a lot less fluid now.

Refreshing the page only happens when you close and re-open it. Sometimes, I'll try to go backwards and have to tap the arrow but that won't take me to the last page. I'll look at someone's post and have to tap it about 5 times to go back 2 pages. They are blatant with the fact of taking away features, because it literally says "get the app for Android or iPhone" when before it WAS the app. Recommendation: go back. And seriously fire whoever had the bright idea to do this.

This app forced an upgrade and it's barely better than just opening Instagram in a browser window. Collections are gone. Viewing liked posts are gone.

DM notifications no longer show on the icon in the taskbar. I have to close and reopen the app to refresh it. I can no longer add any text to a shared post via DM.
